Internship
Students can complete a non-compulsory internship related to Industrial Design of at least one semester.
Overseas exposure programme
Usually for one semester / non-compulsory.
Students have to fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for the exchange program:
- Minimum CAP of 3.0
- Minimum C grade in all modules taken
- ID students can participate in SEP in Semester 2 of their 2nd year
- Students are only allowed to participate in one round of SEP of one semester only.

- Armed with design, business and technological knowledge, our students are well positioned to serve R&D companies, tech startups, design consultancies, service industries, marketing sectors, government agencies, as well as design education.
- Our alumni have gone on to work as designers of domestic appliances, consumer electronics, retail systems, vehicles, furniture, home and commercial interiors, sports equipment, fashion apparel, medical equipment, mobile applications and interfaces, food, and even entirely new business models, while others have gone on to work as art directors and design curators.
- The entrepreneurial spirit is one of the core mindsets behind design and innovation, and therefore is central to the way we structure our curriculum. We are proud to share that within our short history, many of our graduates have successfully established their own design firms (DesignInsight, Cilicon Faytory, OutofStock Design, Studio Juju, Hans Tan Studio, Glo Innovation, STUCK, Supermama, Fuchsia Lane, Yong Jieyu Studio, Lanzavecchia + Wai Design).
