Who is eligible
Lao PDR nationals who:
- Are born on 2 Jan 2009 to 1 Jan 2012
- Are proficient in English
- Have done consistently well in school examinations
- Have completed at least Grade 10 of upper secondary
- Have studied English as a subject in Grade 10
- Have a good record of participation in co-curricular activities
Duration of scholarship
The scholarship is:
- Valid for 4 years from Secondary 3 to Pre-university 2, leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level certificate, or similar qualification
- Renewed each year based on scholar's performance in school
Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- Annual allowance with hostel accommodation
- Settling-in allowance
- Return economy airfare
- School fees
- Examination fees for GCE O-Level and A-Level (once only, if applicable)
- Subsidised medical benefits and insurance cover for accidents
