Education Minister Ong Ye Kung to Attend 50th SEAMEO Council Conference In Malaysia

Minister for Education, Mr Ong Ye Kung, will attend the 50th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference in Kuala Lumpur from 22 to 24 July 2019.

2. The SEAMEO Council Conference is a biennial meeting to discuss educational cooperation in the Southeast Asian region. It brings together Education Ministers from 11 member-countries – Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.

3. Mr Ong will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Conference. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education.
