Minister Chan Chun Sing to attend the 52nd Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference

Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing, will attend the 52nd Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) Council Conference in Manila, Philippines, from 8 to 10 February 2023.

2. The SEAMEO Council Conference is a biennial meeting where Education Ministers from 11 SEAMEO Member Countries1 discuss educational cooperation in the Southeast Asian region. At the conference, Minister Chan will hand over the SEAMEO Council Presidency2 to Vice-President and Education Secretary of the Philippines, Ms Sara Zimmerman Duterte.

3. Minister Chan will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the conference. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Education.
