Minister Chan Chun Sing to Attend the 13th International Summit on the Teaching Profession

1. Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing, will attend the 13th International Summit on the Teaching Profession (ISTP) in Washington D.C., USA, from 25 – 27 April 2023.

2. The ISTP is a by-invitation annual meeting for leaders of top-performing or rapidly improving education systems to discuss effective practices and policies in education. This year, the Summit will focus on how governments can elevate and enhance the teaching profession, develop globally and culturally competent students, and leverage educational technology to enhance equity in education.

3. Minister Chan will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of the Summit, and visit educational institutions in the USA. He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Education.
