Close to 400 Students Explore Singapore's Cultural Landmarks at 7th Cultural Heritage Walk

Close to 400 students from 13 secondary schools embarked on the annual Cultural Heritage Walk on 19 October 2024, where they explored Singapore's culturally significant landmarks in Bukit Pasoh and Chinatown. The walk featured familiar sites like the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, and Tea Chapter, as well as new additions such as the Siong Leng Musical Association, Nanyang Hakka Federation, Masjid Jamae, and Sri Layan Sithi Vinayagar Temple.
2. Jointly organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, the 7th edition of the Walk aims to promote appreciation and understanding of the various ethnic communities' heritage in the Bukit Pasoh and Chinatown area among students. This year, students also participated in interactive activities organised by 12 participating cultural and religious organisations. 3. Guest of Honour Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State for Education and Chairperson of the CPCLL, presented certificates of appreciation to the participating cultural and religious organisations at the event.
