Release of the 2024 Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level Examination Results

1. Candidates who sat for the 2024 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination received their results from their schools today1.
2. A total of 10,889 candidates sat for the 2024 GCE A-Level examination. 10,255 (94.2%) of these candidates have attained at least 3 H2 passes, with a pass in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI)2. This is comparable to the performance of candidates for the GCE A-Level Examination in previous years.
Applications to Autonomous Universities
3. Students who wish to apply for admission to the autonomous universities (AUs) and for AU scholarships should submit their applications online via the respective AUs' websites. There is no need to submit a hard copy of the GCE A-Level certificate. Information on the AUs' admissions requirements and processes can be found on their websites, and applicants should approach the universities directly for further assistance.
Applications to Polytechnics
4. Eligible GCE A-Level graduates who are looking to further their studies at the polytechnics can benefit from module exemptions in about 135 courses. This can potentially reduce the time taken for them to obtain a polytechnic diploma by up to one year. Interested students should apply directly to the polytechnics from 23 February to 6 March 2025, for matriculation in April 2025. Students may also apply in August 2025 for matriculation in October 2025. More details can be found on the respective polytechnics' websites.

5. Students are encouraged to explore the range of education and career pathways available to them to make informed decisions about their next steps. They may refer to the following websites for more information:
6. Students may also consult their teachers or ECG Counsellors in their respective schools about their next steps. Alternatively, they can make an ECG counselling appointment via the ECG Centre at https://go.gov.sg/moe-ecg-centre. The ECG Centre offers online or phone counselling services to GCE A-Level candidates from 17 February 2025 to 19 March 2025 from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays.
