Singapore Youth Festival 2025: Students to Showcase Aspirations for Our Nation's Future Through Diverse Art Forms

1. In celebration of Singapore's 60th year of independence, the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2025 will showcase youth artistic talents through performances and artworks from March to July. As part of the celebration, students will express their interpretations of our nation's cultural heritage and their aspirations for building our shared future together.
2. The festival will unfold across three platforms:
- SYF Arts Presentation from 24 March to 7 May, featuring student performances across diverse performing arts disciplines;
- SYF Celebrations from 3 to 5 July, where students have the opportunity to experiment with different performance styles, including collaborations with other schools as well as professional artists; and
- SYF Art Exhibition in July, where young artists present their vision for Singapore's future.
SYF 2025 Arts Presentation
3. Over 28,500 students are expected to take the stage at this year's SYF Arts Presentation, which will commence on 24 March and conclude on 7 May. Student performers from secondary schools and pre-university levels will showcase their talents in various performing arts disciplines and genres, reflecting Singapore's rich multicultural heritage.
4. The Arts Presentation is open to members of the public who wish to support the performers and engage in the arts. Please refer to Annex A for more details.
SYF 2025 Celebrations
5. The SYF Celebrations from 3 to 5 July will feature about 2,500 students bringing the arts to the community. At Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, audiences can enjoy student performances through "Kaleidoscope" and "Shall We Sing?". Adding to this year's programme is the return of the "Band Jamboree", featuring student musicians from various bands and ensembles. Under "The Youth Station Project" and "Dance Extravaganza!", aspiring student-songwriters and dancers will have the opportunity to perform at the National Library Building and *SCAPE The Ground Theatre. SYF 2025 Art Exhibition
6. Themed 'Tiny Wonders, Big Ideas', the 2025 Art Exhibition will invite primary school students to connect aspects of everyday Singaporean life with visions of our nation's future. Students are encouraged to draw inspiration from their surroundings and transform familiar elements into imaginative works through creative collaboration, nurturing their appreciation for our nation and their role in shaping Singapore's future. The exhibition will be presented at the National Gallery Singapore and complemented by an online showcase on the SYF website in July. Details of the Art Exhibition will be available on SYF's digital platforms from June 2025.
