After application
3. Submit an appeal
You can submit an appeal only after the release of the JAE posting results.
If you want to submit an appeal:
-
For junior colleges (JC) and Millennia Institute (MI)
Visit the school website to find out about the appeal process and timeline. Use SchoolFinder to find the school’s contact details.
-
For polytechnics and Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
Submit your appeal from 9am on Tuesday, 4 February 2025 to 4pm on Friday, 7 February 2025 (tentative) through the JAE Online Appeal Portal. To find the latest net aggregate scores to guide you in choosing the courses to appeal for, refer to “Courses” page on the JAE Online Appeal Portal.
How the appeal process works
For the course you are appealing for, you must meet both the minimum entry requirement of the course and the net aggregate score of the lowest-ranked applicant posted to the course.
Appeals are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the institutions. A place may only be granted if there are vacancies and compelling reasons such as serious medical conditions like chronic heart conditions, or severe physical impairments that require permanent accessibility support like the use of a wheelchair.
After you submitted your appeal
While you wait for the outcome, you should still report to the institution you are posted to. If your appeal is successful, inform your institution subsequently.
If you have submitted an appeal to:
- JC and MI: Refer to the school websites to find out when and how the appeal outcome will be released.
- Polytechnics and ITE: The results will be released at 9am on Friday, 21 February 2025 (tentative). You will be notified via email and SMS to log in and view your appeal outcome in the portal by 9am on Friday, 21 February 2025 (tentative).
