Add new courses and teachers

You must submit an amendment to your existing school registration licence to register New Course(s) and its accompanying Teacher(s) or New Teacher(s) for existing approved course(s). Learn about the registration process and documents required.

Overview

You will need to amend your existing licence if you wish to conduct new courses or register new teachers. You will need to submit amendments for both the new courses and teachers together.

Only an existing member of your school’s Committee of Management is allowed to make the application.

Registering new courses

How to register

You will need to register your new course online via GoBusiness using your company’s CorpPass.

Follow these steps when registering:

  1. Go to ‘Licences’ menu and select ‘My Licences’ from the drop-down list. Search for your existing licence (i.e., “Licence No.: DXXXX • MOE”) which you would like to amend.
  2. Under the ‘Select Action’ click ‘Amend’.
  3. Confirm your school’s ‘General Information’, you may update your email address and contact number if needed.
  4. Click on the ‘Application Details’ to move to next section.
  5. Click on the radio button for either ‘Registration of New Course(s) and its accompanying Teacher(s)’ or Registration of New Teacher(s) for existing approved course(s)’.
  6. Follow the steps on the screen to complete the application.

Note:

  • A maximum of 10 courses and, or 10 teachers can be processed per application.

Documents required and how to submit

Upload the following documents (each attachment file must not exceed 1MB in size) via the GoBusiness online application:

1. Summary of course particulars (Form RC)– Registration of New Course(s)

  • Use 1 form per application

2. Course write-up if it is not a tuition course or following MOE syllabus

  • Template can be found in Form RC.
Registering teachers

Upload the following documents (each attachment file must not exceed 1MB in size) via the GoBusiness online application:

1. Teacher registration forms (Form RT)

  • Use 1 form per teacher. You may upload multiple forms if needed.

2. Educational certificates and transcripts

  • Include all the relevant certificates and transcripts (i.e., 'O' level, 'A' level, Degree certificate and transcripts, or other applicable qualifications).
  • They will need to be notarial-translated if they are not in English.
  • You may upload multiple files online. Please upload each attachment separately for each individual (i.e., 1 attachment per teacher).

3. Copies of personal identification document

  • Front and back of NRIC for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents
  • Data page of passport for other nationalities
  • You may upload multiple files online. Please ensure that each attachment is uploaded separately for each individual (i.e., 1 attachment per teacher).

4. Previous letters from MOE granting the teachers permission to teach (if applicable)

After you submit your application online

If amendments or clarifications are required, please await contact from the case officer, who will reach out via email or through the "Request for Action (RFA)" feature in the online application. Upon approval, you will receive an email from GoBusiness to make the required payment online. Please pay the applicable fee via GoBusiness Licensing within 60 days . You will receive the following letters (e-copy), where applicable, after payment have been made:

  • Conduct of course letter (if applicable)
  • Letter permitting the teacher to teach in the school.
