5. Submit your child's choices
Note: Submission of school choices for S1 Posting has ended.
You have
from 11.30am on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 to 3pm on Tuesday, 26 November 2024 to submit your child's choices through:
- The online S1 Internet System (S1-IS). For your convenience, we recommend using the S1-IS that is available 24 hours a day, except on the last day when it closes at 3pm.
- Your child’s primary school. Primary schools are open from 9am to 3pm and closed on weekends.
Getting started
Fill out the S1 Option Form with your child, listing 6 secondary school choices in order of preference.
Choose the submission method:
Submit online via S1-IS
Write down the school names for your child’s 6 school choices, in order of preference, before entering the S1 Internet System (S1-IS) as you will be logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
This facilitates smooth and efficient completion during online submission, saving time and ensuring a seamless submission process.
- Log into the S1-IS with your child's Birth Certificate number/FIN, and S1 PIN. The S1 PIN is a unique password to access the S1-IS.
- Verify your child’s particulars. You may download their personalised S1 Option Form and Eligibility Letter (if any) if you wish to save a digital copy. You can log out of the system if you and your child need more time to consider the school choices.
- Enter your mobile number to allow us to send you the posting results via SMS.
- If your child is eligible to choose between two Posting Groups, select your child’s preferred Posting Group first. This will apply to all school choices.
- Follow the instructions to submit your child’s school choices and Third Language options (if applicable).
- Use all 6 school options to increase the chances of your child getting into a school of your choice.
- Verify your child's school choices and Third Language options (if applicable) before submitting online.
- Remember to print and retain a copy of the Verification Slip (VS) for your records.
- If you are unable to view the VS, your child's S1 options may not have been submitted. You should log in again to confirm the status of your submission.

Submit through your child’s primary school
- Fill out the S1 Option Form together with your child, listing a maximum of 6 school choices in order of preference. This facilitates submission by school staff on your behalf, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
- Contact your child’s primary school regarding your submission. The school may ask for the completed form, your child’s Birth Certificate and both parents' NRICs/FIN.
- You will be given a Verification Slip (VS) endorsed with the school stamp.
- Double-check your submission using the VS.
- Acknowledge the submission by returning the signed VS to the school. You can keep one copy for your records.

You can submit your child's choices through their primary school from:
- 11.30am to 3pm on Wednesday, 20 November 2024
- 9am to 3pm, from Thursday, 21 November 2024 to Tuesday, 26 November 2024
Schools are
not open on weekends.

If you are unable to submit the S1 Option Form in person, you can nominate another adult to do so, using this proxy form.
Once you have submitted
The posting results will be released on Wednesday, 18 December 2024 via S1-IS, SMS, and through your child’s primary school.
In the meantime, your child can take a well-earned break!
