Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a multi-discipline project team and corporate team to facilitate and ensure timely implementation of power generating station projects and thereafter, operation and maintenance of the power generating station.

Potential career path and developmental opportunities for scholars

Meranti Power is looking for scholars who are passionate about the power generation industry. Scholars can look forward to various engineering roles in the operation and maintenance of the Open Cycle Gas Turbines power station. There are also opportunities to be involved in new power generation related projects and piloting of new technology for the energy sector.

Each scholar will be assigned with a mentor while studying and will be invited to intern at the power station on various roles beside involving in other engagement activities such as retreat, staff welfare activities etc.

Scholar can expect to rotate to different roles in the company to gain exposure and there are opportunities to be groomed as specialist or for leadership.
