Technical Support Officer
1. Overview
As a Technical Support Officer, you will be deployed as a STEM Instructor (Workshop) or a STEM Instructor (Laboratory).
In either position, you will play an important role in facilitating the delivery of Design & Technology (D&T) or Science curriculum.
Responsibilities and Competencies
- STEM Instructor (Workshop): You will support teachers in the delivery of Design & Technology (D&T) and Applied Subjects (AS) coursework and practical lessons, ensuring that lessons are conducted in a smooth and safe manner in the workshops.
- STEM Instructor (Laboratory): You will facilitate the delivery of Science lessons and assist in the smooth running of the Science laboratories in a school.
Requirements
- Good communication skills and a team player
- Meticulous with good planning and organisational skills.
- Prior experience in the following areas would be preferred:
- STEM Instructor (Workshop): Handling tools and equipment used in school workshops.
- STEM Instructor (Laboratory): Laboratory work and familiarity with safety requirements in Science laboratories.
Salary and Benefits
Your starting salary will range from $1,800 to $4,550.
