Application process
3. Sign the Service Obligation Agreement
Once you have completed the online application, your institution will inform you when and how to sign the Service Obligation Agreement digitally. This will involve you and your sureties.
Your online application status on the TG&S portal will be updated to “Awarded” about 8 weeks after you have signed the agreement.
Documents required for the signing
Your sureties must provide scanned copies of the following documents:
- If they are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents: Identity card.
- If they are foreigners: Passport and identify card or a valid MOM work pass.
Changing of sureties after signing the agreement
- Log in to the TG&S portal to submit a "Change of Surety" request. You are only allowed to submit the request once, to change either one or both of your sureties.
- After 3 to 4 weeks, you can log in to check if your request has been approved. If your request is approved, we will contact you to arrange for the signing of a Variation Agreement.
Who must sign the Variation Agreement:
- If changing one surety, you are required to sign it with the remaining surety and the new surety.
- If changing both sureties, you are required to sign it with the two new sureties.
If you encounter issues in changing your sureties’ personal particulars on the TG&S portal, you can request for help using the TG Enquiry Form and provide the sureties’ personal particulars that you would like to update.
