2. Submit online application

The Service Obligation grant application is only for international students.

To apply:

  1. Indicate your interest to apply for Service Obligation grant with your institution.
  2. If you have been informed that you can apply for Service Obligation grant, you can submit your application through the TG&S portal. Refer to the user guide for more information.
  3. Refer to the application guide provided by your institution to learn more about the application process.
  4. Check the application period with your institution. You must submit your application through the TG&S portal during this period. If you miss it, you are required to pay the full fees.
  • Should you encounter issues with your TG&S portal account, learn about the steps to resolve them.
  • If you are applying for Service Obligation grant in your subsequent years of studies, approach your institution for assistance.

Making changes to your application

  • You can make changes to your personal information and sureties’ details during the online application period through the TG&S portal.
  • Make sure all changes are completed before you sign the Service Obligation Agreement. You can log in to the TG&S portal to check.
  • If the application period has ended, you can submit a request using the TG Enquiry Form.
