You need to be ready with the details of your sureties as you submit the online application:

- Email address
- Contact numbers
A surety is a person who takes responsibility of your performance in fulfilling your Tuition Grant Agreement bond obligations.
You must nominate 2 sureties to sign the agreement with you. You and your sureties will be jointly liable to pay the liquidated damages if you fail to serve your 3-year bond.
If you do not have 2 sureties, you will not be able to sign the agreement and will have to pay full fees for your studies.
Your sureties:
- Must be above 21 and below 65 years of age
- Must not be an undischarged bankrupt
- Can be of any nationality
- As part of the application, you need to upload photo-identity proof of both your own and your sureties' residential addresses.
- You cannot be your own surety. We encourage you to nominate your family members to be your sureties.
- You should not nominate someone who is a surety of another tuition grant recipient who has not served their bond obligations.
- If you have signed the tuition grant agreement with 2 sureties for your polytechnic tuition grant bond, the same sureties can also sign the tuition grant agreement for your university tuition grant bond if they meet the above criteria.
