Things I Will Miss

Primary school years are not only the start of our formal education, but also the time that we start creating memories and building strong friendships. Other than learning to read and write together with our friends, we learn to laugh, cry, share, and support each other. With our primary school years coming to an end, activities such as catching up with one another before and after school, having fun during physical education classes, studying with one another, and playing outdoors during recess are just some of the many moments that we will miss.

Learning is always joyful and meaningful in our school. Our Primary 1 and 2 students enjoy the Programme for Active Learning (PAL) – a curation of fun and meaningful learning experiences. During Outdoor Education lessons, our teachers turn our green spaces such as the eco-garden and hydroponics farm into enjoyable learning trails. Here, we learn about plants and hydroponic farming. We also receive some valuable gardening tips from our school gardener, Mr Sunny. These wonderful lessons ignite our sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature!

H@S is Home to me, where friends and caring teachers are. We play pool, fly drones, and race Tamiya cars! Racing Tamiya cars is especially exciting and challenging, as we can modify our cars and explore ways to make them go faster and clear obstacles. However, it is not just fun and games. “Study Hard, Work Hard, Play Hard!” is our motto! Buddies from secondary schools and junior colleges help us with our homework. H@S seniors return to motivate us and share inspiring stories. We play team bonding games and are always there for one another, just like a family.
